[President Heber J. Grant] Shortly after ten o'clock I went over to the temple and explained to the Council of the Twelve that I would like to have Brother Clark sustained as a member of the Council of the Twelve and then inasmuch as he was my counselor and I was going to choose Brother David O. McKay to fill the vacancy in the Council of the First Presidency it would leave a vacancy in the Twelve to be filled. A vote was taken supporting Brother Clark to be a member of the Council of the Twelve. Several of the Brethren expressed themselves as delighted that he is to have the honor of ordination to the apostleship.
